Highwood Wolf

My first wolf encounter was on HWY 40 just before sunset in Kananaskis Country. Instead of slipping into the trees, the wolf kept to the pavement and walked past the vehicle without hesitation. It didn’t rush or seem bothered, moving with the same steady pace it might in the forest. That simple moment left a lasting impression; a reminder that the wild is never far away.
